There are very few things more satisfying than a classic casse-croute, but we really went overboard... And we don't regret it . We ordered all the necessary items: well-cooked, delicious hot dogs, both all dressed and Michigan style; crispy onion rings; a giant, filling, savory sub sandwich; a double hamburger (because we can't go anywhere without trying a good burger); and, of course, the essential poutine with perfect fries and luscious gravy. All this for a very affordable price makes us want to go back very soon.

The food is great, the price is reasonably, and the toilet is clean! A clean toilet! In filthy Montreal! Imagine that! This is the best diner I’ve been to in this city since moving here a few years ago. The food is made right in front of you!

Patate Rouge is one of Montreal’s hidden gems! People always mention more mainstream hotdog joints when it comes to steamies, but those who know know that la Parate Rouge reigns supreme thanks to their quality food, free parking, clean dining area, and great friendly service!
